I live/work right outside DC in Arlington, VA. My office is right next to the twin towers of the Gannett/USA Today buildings, so we were evacuated early in the morning, as police thought that the towers here would also be good targets. Trying to get home was a mess because I live half a mile from the Pentagon. The atmosphere here is extremely serene, people are walking the streets in a state of disbelief and sadness. I live on top of a hill overlooking the Pentagon and all day and night hundreds of people were sitting at the park there praying and conforting eachother.
